Where have we been hiding or hanging out?

by Sherman Anderson on December 19, 2016

I confess, I have not attended to this site business this year. As I rearrange my calendar to make more tops I made myself clean up the wood shop to plane some lumber last month for a friend’s project. What’s amusing to me is that it only took two hours. The big shop next to it needed cleanup to make room for the aerial lift and that only took about two hours. I have made 25 new tops in the last week and the displays at Mtn. VIew Tourist Guide are full at 122 W. Main Street in Mountain View, Ark. Come see us and spin tops!

When the last horse gets into the gate the bell rings and we’re off to the races. The same is true with greyhound dogs and so it is in track and field events. So many of my shop projects are waiting for winter to end. But many indoor projects have been started and finished because […]

Tops vs. Vacuum cleaners

January 17, 2015

A common saying we often hear these days about being resolute to seize an opportunity is: you do what you gotta’ do. My doing for income in recent weeks of frigid weather has shifted from tree service to vacuum cleaner repair. Tomorrow I’ll get a HOOVER Shampooer to repair. I am still working on the […]

Many small steps in the right direction lead to progress.

January 15, 2015

Tuesday I minded the store for my buddy David Potts while he concentrated on advertising sales and service. Weather has kept me from tree service work in safer conditions and kept tourists off the sidewalks of Mountain View. So I took liberty to clean the store floors better than I have done previously. During the […]

I am shifting gears to reconditioning and repairing vacuum cleaners.

January 13, 2015

Tops are not selling well and the constant cold winter has dampened opportunities for tree service work so I have switched activity to a long time hobby of repairing and reconditioning vacuum cleaners, nine tackled since November and six finished.
